Andrew Algier (pictured below) is a long-time friend of the studio and a talented craftsman. We undertook the branding and art direction of his line, Algierwork, building on the whimsical, textural universe that his designs embody.
The brand hinges on the concept of portals. We view art and design work very differently, as they’re judged for different needs, so we wanted to explore how the viewer may see pieces like Andrew’s, which often toe the line between the two.
We developed a series of portal shapes to use across the branding, a playful typographic logo, and capped off the engagement with a photoshoot.
