the challenge

Create consistent, ownable imagery for cross platform use by an up and coming men's skincare brand. Also, make it fun.

outer context

Disco is a skincare brand made for the modern man. They take ingredients & science seriously, creating a smart & efficacious choice for a daily routine. Also— it’s dermatologist approved.

Disco first started working with us in 2020 in the midst of their website redesign. We were tasked with overhauling their art direction and content, setting the tone for the brand going forward.

We went back to the brand's roots in neoclassical greek sculpture, creating sets that referenced the purity of materials and form. With playful posing and kinetic texture styling, we showed Disco products in use, and used well.

Over a year and a half, we produced 6+ shoots and transformed their photography library. Our consistency and clarity in the initial art direction was hugely beneficial to their website redesign, and set the standard going forward.
